Template or Bespoke?

Whether creating a website for a new business or refreshing an existing site, there are various options to consider – not least the cost. At Garda we offer a solution for most budgets and tailor our approach to suit your timescales and pocket.

In an ideal world, we love to create bespoke designs from scratch, as it gives us complete flexibility and the scope to build a site that precisely meets your needs. Key objectives and how to achieve them are established after we review and critique your existing site and those of your competitors, before drawing up the proposed site map.

Once this is agreed, we progress to design and copywriting. A clickable draft skeleton called a ‘wire frame’ is used in the early stages to ensure that everything works logically and intuitively, before it is skinned with the full branding and design http://www.glinwellplc.com is one example of this process and we are currently working on several others.

However, the confines of a tight budget demand an alternative solution – which is to find a suitable ‘off the shelf’ template, that fits as closely as possible with your requirements. This reduces the amount of design required and keeps the costs down. Ultimately, whatever your budget, we will do everything we can to give you a professional site that not only looks good, but meets the practical needs of your business and your customers – as that, after all, is the most important thing.
